Christmas Gift Guide | Star Wars

So with the new Star Wars film coming out incredibly soon, as my Dad and brother keep reminding me, I thought it made perfect sense to create the perfect gift guide for the Star Wars fan in your life...

I really tried to find gifts that would be different from your typical Star Wars gifts and merchandise.
Starting with the overly obvious Christmas gifts again. I couldn't help but stick in a few Christmas cards because, even though I'm not a huge Star Wars fan myself I thought they were appropriate. I couldn't resist throwing in some Christmas decorations to, why not create an entire Star Wars Christmas tree complete with lights and baubles?
If it's your partner who is a little bit Star Wars mad then this Yoda mug or papercut print would be a perfect way to show your love in a Star Wars fashion. For someone who is a huge tea or coffee drinker, this other mug could be the perfect pick. For that Star Wars fan who is always on their phone or laptop, why not buy them a phone case or decals to help them decorate their gadgets? Again, even as someone who isn't a Star Wars fan I thought these retro movie posters would make such a great wall piece, maybe even go a step further and get all of the poster prints.
I could not resist throwing in this father/child t-shirt set, I think this would be the perfect gift to give to that special Dad from their little one. There were so many sets that could be chosen it would be the perfect gift for Christmas to make Dad feel that little bit extra special. Although the other t-shirt looks like a typical Star Wars t-shirt you'd buy anywhere, I thought the gift box made it that little extra something for Christmas. Again for that jewellery loving fan these little Death Star earrings are a cute alternative that any other Star Wars fan will spot a mile off while they can proudly display them to the world. Can we just simply talk about how cute this dog harness is..? I cannot say anything else and I'm just going to leave it there..

I hope this helped give you some ideas for the Ultimate Star Wars fan in your life. Next week it's my Ultimate Guide for Sherlock and Dr Who fans!

Life | November Favourites

I honestly cannot believe that we are almost into December and that 2016 is creeping up on us incredibly quickly; seriously where did this year go?

I have a terrible habit of using the same products all the time so it's very rare that I'm able to do a favourites post, but this month I actually have some favourites to share. Mostly old favourites that I've rediscovered, but a few newbies!

Two hand creams have made the cut this month. I am absolutely loving a hand cream I picked up on sale from Superdrug a few weeks ago; the Leafy & Lovely Summer Meadow Hand Lotion. It's a bit of summery scent, which I know isn't a scent everyone wants to use this time of year, but I find it a nice break when I want a different kind of scent at this time of year. I'm also loving the Cocoa Butter Hand Cream from Avon, if you know me then you'll know I love anything cocoa butter so this is a pretty obvious choice.

Scent wise I'm definitely getting ready for Christmas, I don't yet feel it but I definitely smell it. It's this time of year that I go back to using my Vanilla Brûlée body mist from the Body Shop due to it's warm undertones that are just perfect at this time of year and help me feel so comfy somehow. I've also discovered the Vanilla & Sandalwood Scented Spritz, again from Avon that helps my room smell incredibly cosy this time of year too. I tend to spray this across my bed in the morning and across my curtains so that my room smells delicious all day long. I've also started burning my Apple Pie Village Candle again because it purely just smells of cinnamon, which is my winter and autumn scent. The scent completely fills a room and it's been helping me sleep really well for the past week. The bedding currently on my bed is also quickly becoming a favourite of mine to, it's so comfy I can't even explain how good it feels to just be all curled up on a cold morning.

Recently in my search for a new primer I've recently discovered the Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer thanks to the really kind girl in Boots who gave me a couple of sample bottles to try before I commit to buying a full size tube. I can definitely say my makeup is looking, applying and lasting a lot better since I started using this and I definitely underestimated the use of a primer.

I guess the electricals are a bit misleading. I'm currently reading Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Hawking. I still haven't gotten around to watching the Theory of Everything, but I'm absolutely loving this book. It's such a different insight in to a man we all feel we know so well, and it's also nice to be reading something different to my usual books. My headphones represent my current love for One Direction's new album, Made In The A.M. I loved Drag Me Down and Perfect anyway, but the whole album is just brilliant, I'm not even ashamed. My xbox remote quite simply represents my current habit of binge watching Netflix at every opportunity. At the start of November I was only on season 2 of Once Upon A Time as I'd completely fallen behind, however I'm now just about to start season 5 as I'm typing this, and I'm sure I'll have caught up pretty soon. Anyone else have this bad habit?

So those are my favourites for this month, what are yours? Let me know below!

Christmas Gift Guide | Potterheads

A Christmas gift guide with a difference! At this time of year you see nearly every single blogger putting out their gift guides, which I absolutely love and they usually give me so many ideas for presents for people or I end up creating a huge wish list for myself.

I wanted to create a different kind of Christmas gift guide and then it hit me, why not create a gift guide for all the cult followings? So I'm starting with the perfect gift guide for that Harry Potter lover in your life!
Starting with the overly obvious Christmas gifts! From Christmas cards with the Potter touch, Christmas tree letter decorations or baubles, or a gift box that includes everything a Harry Potter fan could dream of.
I personally would love a Harry Potter print, it's just something totally different. Whether it's a print of their favourite quote, the entire first book in one poster or a print that is specifically designed for their house, if you know it, would make such a personal gift that would be so special.
Who doesn't love a little bit of jewellery at Christmas? Every Potter fan has something that just means the world to them, and as you can see above there is such a huge range of jewellery. As someone who owns a Time Turner and the rope bracelet, they are some of my favourite pieces of jewellery and such an easy way to show my Potter love with pride in such a subtle way.
If jewelry isn't their thing, then maybe clothing is. Whether it's a jumper with the Hogwarts castle on, another way to proudly display their Potter love or a jumper or gloves in their house colours. Or maybe even go that extra step and buy a skirt entirely inspired by the Daily Prophet. As a Potterhead who loves subtly displaying my Potter love everywhere, I think I need this skirt in my life.
For that tea or coffee drinker an 'Accio' mug would be perfect; Potterheads everywhere will know exactly what this means, but to everyone else it's just a quote mug. Same with this drinking jar, maybe go that extra mile and get their favourite Potter quote printer on this too. You can't have a mug without coasters, especially in my house, Potter coasters would be the perfect edition to their Potter mug!
I always find that Christmas is that perfect time to buy presents that you'd never receive at any other time of the year. This little keyring would be perfect for Potterheads, and just like the mug others will just see it as a quote. For someone who is always reading their Kindle why not buy them this Kindle cover so they can always have their own book of spells! This page rose is just beautiful and such a subtle gift. Why not pick up these quote pencils that Potterheads will spot a mile off!

Next week will be my ultimate gift guide for Star Wars fans! Let me know below what other fandom's you'd like to see a gift guide for!

Friday First | Daughter

A book that I feel that was on my 'to read' list for what felt like forever, and one that I now still can't work out how I feel about it now that I've had a chance to read it.

The story focuses on Jenny and her daughter Naomi who has gone missing and follows her journey trying to work out what has happened to her. The book jumps back and forth between the days just after Naomi's disappearance and the year afterward. This made the book a little difficult to read. At the beginning this concept was fantastic, I was instantly hooked; looking for all the clues and looking into every single thing possible to see if I had somehow missed something. However the book seemed to go on forever, I can actually remember looking down at the bottom of my kindle after reading this book for a week straight to see that I was only on 40 something%..

The second half of the book seemed to drag, especially the chapters written a year after Naomi's disappearance. I felt that nothing was really added to the story through these sections and definitely felt like filler chapters. It was difficult to work out why Jenny's family were written the way they were; I can definitely say that a lot of explanation is lacked in this book.

The book was written in an incredibly way and I was definitely hooked, the first half hooked me in such a way that even when I was trawling through the filler chapters I was still desperate to know what happened. I must admit the ending for me felt incredibly rushed and I feel like I am lacking so many answers; I actually feel incredibly dissatisfied with the ending and feel like another book could tie up so many lose ends.

Would I recommend Daughter? If you like books that keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat then definitely. It's wrote in a way that keeps you coming back for more, because you just want to know all the answers.
Would I re-read Daughter? I don't think so. It's the kind of book that I wouldn't be able to re-read purely because I know how it ends and that definitely takes away from the magic of this book. Maybe if I ever did re-read the book I'd potentially pick up on something else that I may have missed, but I don't think it would add to the story too much.
Overall score out of 5? A low 3. The book was written well and I was definitely desperate to know all the answers, so much that some days when I wasn't reading the book I'd be thinking about it, just wondering if I'd missed or overlooked something. However the ending for me was rushed and I have so many questions unanswered.

Have you read Daughter? Is it a book that you would read? Let me know below!

Friday First | TeaDoctor TeaTox

Teatox's seem to be the latest trend in the weight loss world, and being 100% honest they are something that I have been looking into a lot lately as I feel that they're natural so they really can't do too much damage even if you don't see results.

When I was offered the chance to try the TeaTox from TeaDoctor I jumped at the chance. I received the 14 Day TeaTox which retails from TeaDoctor for £19.99 which consisted of 14 morning teas and 7 night time teas.

Amazingly, although I had been looking into TeaTox's myself I've never been someone who was able to drink green tea as I'd never really liked the taste.. I know, so why were you looking into teatox's Beka when they all consist of green tea? However, I grew to love the taste during my teatox. I personally loved the morning tea and really enjoyed the aniseed flavour, and I found the night time tea to have a sweeter taste which I also enjoyed. It was really easy to have one every single morning, however it took me a couple of days to fall in to the routine of having a tea every other night.

When I started my weight wasn't exactly where I wanted it to be. I was never expecting miracles; purely because I wasn't able to team up my teatox with regular exercise and cut out all junk food completely (damn those family meals and the boyfriend coming to visit) like is recommended. I've definitely lost weight, how much I couldn't really say because my scales are stupidly unreliable but my jeans are a lot loser. I also feel better within myself; I don't feel as bloated, I feel a lot better within myself and I actually think it's even helped my skin.

Would I repurchase the TeaDoctor TeaTox? I think I would. I don't think I'd purchase them as much as I've seen other people buying them, however I think I would maybe purchase one or two a year when I'm in the need of a good detox in general.
Would I recommend the TeaDoctor TeaTox? I would, I definitely feel a lot better for it. I wasn't expecting miracles, but I am definitely happy with results. Even if you're just looking for something to help you feel better within yourself, I'd definitely recommend giving this a go!
Overall score out of 5? A 4. I feel better within my body and within my skin. I'm not sure how much weight I've lost, but my jeans are feeling loser and I don't feel as bloated as I did before. I also think my skin is thanking me for it.

I also have a discount code for you all! If you've been thinking about trying a teatox and my results have helped you to think that it might all be worthwhile trying a teatox for yourself then use the code 'TEADOCTOR' at the checkout you'll receive 10% off your order!

I was sent these products for free in return for a review. All opinions are my own, honest and have not been influenced in any way. I have not been paid for this review.

Life | Dear November

Dear November,

Just what do you have in mind for me this year?

I'm incredibly busy with work, which is great. I'm finally being thrown into working life as a nurse! Of course it's Luke's birthday to, I have no idea what to even get him.. He's 19 this year and he get's no easier to buy for. I need some inspiration this year November!

The nights are getting darker, winter is definitely settling in and I can just feel everything becoming that little bit cosier. But I need to ask one thing November, can you please stop the rain? I love dark winter nights and mornings and I love the crisp leaves; but I cannot deal with the rain. I've never been able to.

Short and sweet again November, I don't have a lot planned for this month actually. I'm looking forward to getting really stuck into work.

Speak soon,
Beka. xo
